As part of Africa Day 2018, which takes place on the 25th of May, Millar Cameron explores why Africa is becoming a popular destination to live and work in. Over the years, we have built great relationships with many companies based in Africa and have noticed the increasing popularity of the continent.

Here at Millar Cameron, we are a member of the Royal African Society and the Africa Council. Therefore, we have unrivalled resources to create recruitment solutions for companies looking to expand in this area.

As Africa is the world’s second largest continent, with 54 countries and over 2,000 ethnolinguistic groups, it’s very much still an unknown quantity to many businesses - as it’s extreme environments and potentially unstable regimes can make it a major challenge to conquer.

However, the continent’s rapid development has created a vast range of business opportunities. Many different industries in Africa are experiencing growth, including the Real Estate and Agribusiness sectors.

More and more candidates are looking to relocate to Africa due to the many opportunities that are opening. The economy is experiencing growth and the continent is now home to ten of the fastest growing economies in the world. Due to this, industries are now starting to boom and as 2018 continues, we are looking to build our recruitment desks within the telecommunications and power sectors. Africa is becoming a great place to work due to many industries expanding and thriving.

An increasing number of companies are looking to establish a presence or expand their current operations in Africa due to the rising employment. The improvement in roads and railways is also helping the continent to thrive. Many local industries are seeing a result of this growth.
