The business case for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in executive recruitment is well known. At Millar Cameron, we are committed to representing and advocating the best talent, irrespective of race, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.
Organisations whose leadership teams best reflect and represent their workforce, customer base and communities are reporting a raft of tangible benefits, including greater market competitiveness, innovation, fresh thinking, enhanced sustainability and improved levels of employee engagement.
When it comes to gender equality in the private sector, Africa performs well on the global stage, with a slightly higher percentage than average of women executive committee members, CEOs, and board members. At executive level, African women hold 23% of positions, compared with a global average of 20%* which is encouraging, although we acknowledge there is still a long way to go.
To achieve greater Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, forward-thinking organisations are developing strategies to retain their diverse talent and improve their access to diverse talent pools externally. At Millar Cameron, we work closely with our clients to help them to achieve greater Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within their senior management and leadership teams, for example by formulating non-discriminatory role descriptions while using multi-faceted channels to attract top talent from the widest possible pool of candidates.
