SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) works to take care of forests and those who rely on, by protecting plant and animal species, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, and forest workers’ safety. They achieve this through FSC certification to ensure that forests around the world are responsibly managed.

The Role

FSC are looking to hire an engaged SAP Business ByDesign Consultant to join them in their Bonn office. The Consultant will be passionate about FSC’s mission and will bring a solid expertise in the development, planning, and implementation of the ERP system (SAP Business ByDesign). You will oversee the daily running and operation of the system, performing systems administration, troubleshooting, and upgrading the system’s activities.

With finance being a key element of the ERP’s utility, the ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of finance and the subsequent requirements from the ERP system.

Key responsibilities:

Implement and support SAP Business ByDesign modules, in particular: Finance, HR, Procurement, Travel Management.

Manage critical path activities to troubleshoot or escalate problems.

Provide end user support, maintenance of interfaces and access to work centres, as well as platform administration of the ERP.

Compile and deliver regular reports, statistics and evaluations, and verify the accuracy of these reports.

Prepare and deliver training for the use of the ERP; create and maintain the process and training documentation.

Collaborate on projects to improve the ERP; gather user requirements, design, configure, test, and implement enhancements.

Work with business process owner, FSC end user, and implementation partners to identify solutions to meet business requirements.

The desired candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Professional experience in ERP (ideally SAP Business ByDesign or SAP HANA) management and support.

Experience and skills in the principles of finance and accounting is essential.

University degree or higher-level education.

Successfully completed ERP training or equivalent.

Experience in ERP module administration and processing (HR, Procurement, Travel Management).

Experience in training end users and end user support.

Fluency in English and German.
