Assisting a Retail Property Management firm to secure Leasing Manager
Identifying a Leasing Manager within two weeks for a retail and property company in Central Europe
Organisation: Retail Property Management firm
Industry sector: Retail & Property
The position: Leasing Manager
The location: Central Europe
Reason for the position: Expansion
Our recruitment methodology: Database & network searching and headhunting
In order to respond to the growth of retail in the European sector, our client required a Leasing Manager for their Central Europe operations.
The Recruitment Process
To begin the recruitment process, Millar Cameron’s consultant discussed the ideal candidate with the company’s HR manager and recorded a comprehensive description including the specifics around personality and retail experience.
This was a new position created to support the European Leasing Director and required a Leasing Specialist with experience in Germany, who had relevant education and spoke fluent English. This was a time-sensitive process as it required a candidate who could start in just two weeks.
To reach suitable applicants for the role, Millar Cameron’s search team used a process of database searching along with the use of German search tools. We were able to carry out searches in English and German due to the multi-lingual capability of the research team.
Following this search method, the team was able to create a shortlist of four candidates who met the criteria. The list of candidates was then presented to the HR manager who carried out initial telephone interviews.
Following this, face-to-face interviews were carried out by the client who then selected their preferred applicant and offered them the position. Due to the competitive nature of the German market the candidate had been offered a position elsewhere, but accepted a counter offered by their employer.
The Outcome for Our Client
The candidate has become a lead for the leasing team in the space of 6 months. They are now looking for analysts for the team with retail experience, as the retail sector continues to grow in the Central European market.
