Millar Cameron Secures the CEO for an International Property Management Company
Find out how Millar Cameron secured a Chief Executive Officer in one of the fastest growing property markets in the world.
Millar Cameron’s client needed to replace their incumbent CEO because they were moving that person to a new internal role.
Our client has a specific request, which was a Nigerian national with an international education and work experience or a repatriating Nigerian.
Millar Cameron’s consultant obtained a detailed job description from several layers of Senior Management in the business. As this was a significant hire it was important to get the full picture for the requirements that came with the role.
The search team at Millar Cameron used a combination of database searching and headhunting to start searching for the long list.
This search was then further focused on networking within the expatriate Nigerian market in Europe, the UK and America.
A shortlist was then created using 3 candidates who were all based in Europe.
They all worked for, or had a background in businesses that were highlighted by our client as preferable.
This shortlist was presented to the client who carried out Skype based interviews initially, followed by in country interviews with the preferred candidate. The preferred candidate was selected and hired by the client into the role.
Millar Cameron was then responsible for managing the candidate’s resignation period, which was 3 months.
Our client made it clear to the Millar Cameron team that they required a local national, as they would have an advantage when winning new business.
Our client has now replaced a significant role within their business in one of the fastest growing property markets in the world.
