The Role

The role of the General Manager for Ground Handling entails overseeing and managing all facets of business operations, personnel, and ventures. The individual in this position holds the accountability for fostering the overall success and well-being of the company. Furthermore, this role is expected to assume the dual responsibilities of a strategist and a leader, steering the organization towards its most profitable trajectory and actively implementing its vision, mission, and long-term goals.

The Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Overseeing business operations with a focus on ensuring a profitable bottom line.
  • Owning strategic direction, formulating cost-effective business strategies, and generating innovative concepts grounded in market and industry analysis.
  • Leading and preserving the company's performance.
  • Create reporting instruments to track and assess the continual performance of the company.
  • Conveying company reports and accomplishments to the Leadership team & shareholders.
  • Sustaining and overseeing budgets to ensure the efficient financial operation of the business.
  • Fostering connections with industry and marketing experts, demonstrating thought leadership through publications, and enhancing the company's public image via networking, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Collaborating with directors to ensure a uniform approach to managing the organization.​​​​​​

  • A relevant degree, along with other industry-related qualifications.
  • A track record of showcasing effective leadership skills.
  • Industry-specific experience may be required for certain positions.
