THE CHALLENGE
Support the burgeoning success and rapid expansion of Pula across Africa, Asia, and Latin America by swiftly sourcing two Relationship Managers to further catalyse the commercial activities in these regions.
With just six weeks to conclude the recruitment process for these much-needed hires, Millar Cameron’s expertise was engaged in order to identify and guide highly skilled professionals through the rapid recruitment process. The utmost levels of quality and diligence were maintained to ensure that the most suitable individuals were onboarded in a timely manner.
In November 2020 Pula selected Millar Cameron to fill a number of mission-critical roles within the business. Timescales were a particular challenge, with successful candidates required to attend a two-week training course in Nairobi, commencing in early January. Millar Cameron assigned three consultants to the project with scheduled weekly calibration and progress meetings. A number of high-quality candidates were identified with two candidates onboarding in time to attend the training course.
OUR APPROACH
With such a varied regional scope, it was important to identify individuals possessing both the cultural and linguistic contextual understanding of the positions’ locations. As such, a team of multi-lingual consultants were assigned to the project in order to assess this, with a combination of headhunting, networking, and advertising employed to fully map the talent available across each of the markets.
With a swift turnaround required, Millar Cameron ensured that regular calibration meetings were held with Pula, which enabled consultants to promptly identify the highest calibre candidates and prioritise their progress through the comprehensive Millar Cameron interview stages.
THE OUTCOME
Two talented professionals were successfully identified and onboarded within the short timeframe that Pula required. Both candidates have successfully transitioned into their new roles and are contributing to the great work that Pula continues to achieve in assisting farmers across multiple developing countries.
