About the role
Advisory Role:
- Technical and Industrial Aspects: Provide expert advice on the technical and industrial components of the project. This includes evaluating current technologies, recommending improvements, and ensuring that the project aligns with industry standards.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to assess the viability of different production methods. This involves analyzing costs, benefits, risks, and potential returns on investment.
Project Leadership:
- Task Management: Oversee the technical aspects of the project, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. This includes coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.
- Resource Allocation: Determine the necessary resources (personnel, equipment, materials) for each phase of the project and ensure they are allocated efficiently.
- Business Planning: Develop comprehensive business plans, including financial projections, logistics, and operational timelines.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning and implementation of production units for veneer, thermal treatment, and biochar.
- Collaboration: Work closely with consultants and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Fundraising Support: Assist in building business cases, CAPEX proposals, and investor packs to support fundraising efforts.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning and scaling of sustainable forestry operations.
Key responsibilities
- Feasibility Reports: Detailed reports on the feasibility of each production method, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
- Technical Recommendations: Comprehensive recommendations on technologies, processes, and improvements for each production area.
- Project Plans: Detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and milestones.
