Senior Partner, Tom Jeffes and Consultant, Oliver Rumsey recently had the opportunity to attend the Bloomberg Invest, Focus on Africa Forum at the impressive London Bloomberg headquarters.
It was a fascinating opportunity to network with a wide range of Africa focused professionals across market sectors, whilst learning more about Africa's changing economic path as regional economies continue to diversify and embrace new technologies and opportunities.
We were fortunate to hear the Minister for Digital Economy for Togo, Cina Lawson, discuss the growing importance of the digital economy to create job opportunities for the country's young workforce, along with discussions concerning the growing number of tech unicorns in African economies, fuelled by greater investment from the private sector into digital services and tech-enabled solutions.
A further highlight was the opportunity to listen to Norman Moyo of Distributed Power Africa and Peter BenHur Nyeko of Mandulis, explore methods to diversify energy production and enable the transition to green energy solutions as part of a wider move towards a net-zero future.
Here at Millar Cameron, we welcome the opportunity to support Africa focused organisations across industry sectors, providing a consultative approach to service recruitment needs in this dynamic marketplace.
